The Kon-Tiki Adventure has a website http://www.kontiki.za.org/ The event is one of the most popular held for the Scouts and Guides. They have to build a raft and live on it for 24 hours. The raft is equipped with sleeping, cooking and toilet facilities. While on board the crews have to cook, do certain STAs and other challenges, depending on the competition theme. Maybe a Troop from the UK wants to take part next year ?

If you are looking for an idea to pep up your first aid exercise how about adding a challenge element like the one below.

Gareth Mann stands on the raft which is the so called "ship on fire". He has swum across and he will now prepare patients for transport to shore and further first aid treatment. 1st Muizenberg won this District First Aid competition, which is held annually.
