Photo of the Month - April 2001

Having been a Venture Scout Leader for many years I am used to the typical taciturn style of conversation that Venture Scouts employ. This months winning entry came with a covering letter that did not stray from that mode. However this is a photo competion and this photo is a winner.

Hi, I'm Matthew Cook of the Excel District Venture Scout Unit of Hendon & Edgware District. Sam Moorcroft took this photo of Alex Young and myself on 20^th August 2000 as we headed off on our summer expedition. Alex and I are big on tradition, hence the lanyards, shorts and big hats.
